Privacy Policy

THEMARKET101.COM has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to maintaining your privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for THEMARKET.COM website.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE POLICY, YOU SHOULD NOT USE THIS INTERNET WEBSITE (OUR “SITE”). WE MAY MODIFY THE POLICY FROM TIME TOTIME AND POST THOSE MODIFICATIONS HERE. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE SITE AFTER ANY SUCH MODIFICATION CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE MODIFIED AGREEMENT.

This Privacy Policy is in addition to any Subscriber, or other, agreements you have entered in to with THEMARKET101.COM. Nothing in this Privacy Policy shall be construed as superseding or replacing any other such agreement.

  1. Application

This policy applies equally to data of any kind, whether electronic, print or otherwise. The terms “data” and “information” shall, when the context allows, be used interchangeably.

  1. Personal Information Collection and Use

As a subscriber, you supply us with certain personally identifiable data. THEMARKET101.com is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We collect subscriber information when you subscribe and when you login.

As a current or prospective subscriber of THEMARKET101.COM, this Privacy Policy covers personally identifiable data collected from and about you. "Personally Identifiable Data" means any data about an identified or identifiable individual recorded in any form.

From time to time we may collect statistical use data without any personally identifiable information. We reserve the right to use this information in any way we deem best for our own business requirements.

The information that is currently collected includes your name, email address, user name and password.

Customers are able to correct and update their personally identifiable information at any time through their member account or by contacting our Customer Support.

  1. Cookies

THEMARKET101.COM uses cookies for web management. They do not collect any personal information. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. Cookies cannot read unrelated data off you hard drive. The cookies expire when your browser is closed.

Your browser or other software you install may permit you to restrict the use of session cookies, persistent cookies or all cookies. If you elect not to permit the use of session cookies, you will not be able to use our web sites.

  1. Links

Our web site may contain links to third party web sites, which may or may not be operated in conjunction with our web site. THEMARKET101.COM is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. We do not monitor or control the information collected when you choose to "click through" links to these web sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.

  1. Security

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect personally identifiable data about you from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. As part of those precautions, we seek to protect personally identifiable data about you through technologies designed to safeguard the data during its transmission. We restrict access to personally identifiable data about you to those employees we determine need to know that information for us. We also have adopted a policy under which employee misuse of personally identifiable data about you is treated as a serious offense for which disciplinary action may be taken. You should, however, be aware that there is no method of transmitting or storing data that is completely secure. Although their physical characteristics are different, postal mail, telephone calls, faxes and transmissions over the Internet all present possibilities of loss, misrouting, interception and misuse of the data being transmitted.

When we decide what data to seek from or send to you, or how to seek or send it, we try to attain reasonable balance between the security of your data and your convenience. We do this because we believe our customers attach value to both. As a result, we sometimes use a method of communication that is less secure than some of its less convenient alternatives. An important example of this occurs in the case of e-mail. When we send e-mail to you, we send it as plain text without encrypting it. We do this because we believe that many of our customers do not currently have the capability to receive encrypted e-mail. As a consequence, though, if our unencrypted e-mail intended for you were misrouted or intercepted, it could be read more easily than encrypted e-mail.

To protect personally identifiable data about you effectively, we need your help. Please do not divulge your THEMARKET101.COM user name or password to anyone who is not employed by us. In addition, because e-mail to and from us is not encrypted, please do not include your user name or password, or any other information you regard as confidential, in any e-mail you send us. A more secure way to communicate with us over the Internet is to click on the "Contact Us" link on the home page of our web site www.THEMARKET101.com and complete the form that you are presented.

Except where required by law, we do not as a normal policy disclose personally identifiable data about subscribers to any third party.

  1. Credit Card Processing

We use an outside credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. We encourage our subscribers to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. While we have taken significant steps to prevent the inadvertent disclosure of your personally identifiable data to persons who, without authorization, break into and access our confidential electronic files in violation of existing law ("hackers"), we cannot guarantee that a sophisticated hacker will not some day penetrate the barriers we have in place to safeguard your personally identifiable data. We will continue to evaluate and, where indicated, update our security precautions consistent with good business practices.

  1. Notification of Changes

Our Privacy Policy is available through a link on the home page of our web site WWW.THEMARKET101.COM. We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy in the future. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage link so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will note the change date of the latest change at the bottom of the privacy policy. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, then the change will not apply to our use of any personally identifiable data about you that was collected by us before the change was made, unless we notify you and provide you with the opportunity to direct us not to make new uses of personally identifiable data about you.

  1. Web Site and Service Updates

We send all customers an account confirmation e-mail to confirm their username and password immediately after registration. Additional confirmation messages are sent whenever the customer edits their account information. Other site and service announcement updates are sent out periodically on an as-needed basis. Customers are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and relevant information on issues relating to their account via e-mail.

  1. Contact Information

If you have questions concerning our Privacy Policy, please contact THEMARKET101.COM by email at admin@themarket101.com.

IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY OR IF THEMARKET101.COM FAILS TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS TO STOP USING THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY THEMARKET101.COM.
